Laptop Thermal Paste Repaste Cost in Malaysia (2026)

Cost Guide

The thermal paste between your CPU/GPU and heatsink dries out after 2-3 years. When it does, your laptop overheats and throttles itself. Repasting is cheap, takes an hour or two, and can make your laptop feel new again.

Laptop Repaste Cost

  • Standard laptop (Ultrabook, office laptop): RM 80 – RM 150
  • Gaming laptop (Asus ROG, MSI, Razer, Lenovo Legion): RM 120 – RM 200
  • MacBook Air / MacBook Pro: RM 150 – RM 250
  • Desktop CPU / GPU repaste: RM 60 – RM 120

Signs Your Laptop Needs Repasting

  • Fans run at full speed constantly — even during light tasks.
  • Laptop feels very hot at the keyboard or bottom.
  • Performance drops during gaming or heavy workloads (thermal throttling).
  • CPU temperatures above 90°C in monitoring software.
  • Laptop is 2+ years old and has never been repasted.
  • Sudden shutdowns during intensive tasks — thermal protection kicking in.

What paste do we use?

Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut or Arctic MX-6. Not the cheap white stuff that comes pre-applied on most laptops. Good paste drops temperatures 10-20°C compared to dried-out factory paste. We also clean your heatsink and fans while we're in there, no extra charge.

Turnaround time

1-2 hours. We take it apart, clean off the old paste, apply fresh compound, clean the fans, and put it back together. We run temp tests before and after so you can see the difference. Most laptops drop 15-25°C on peak temps.
