Charging problems range from a simple lint blockage to a failed Charging IC chip. Here's how to diagnose exactly what's wrong before spending money on the wrong fix.

Step 1 — Rule Out the Simple Fixes First

Try a different charging cable — cables fail more often than ports.
Try a different power adapter.
Clean the charging port with a toothpick (gently) — lint is the most common cause.
Restart the phone and try again.
