Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco cover a huge price range, so the screens do too. A budget Redmi panel is cheap, but a Xiaomi 15 flagship AMOLED is another story. Here's what a screen replacement actually costs in Malaysia, broken down by tier.

AMOLED vs IPS LCD — it changes the price

Most Xiaomi and Redmi phones now use AMOLED, which costs more to source than plain LCD.
A few budget models still ship IPS LCD — the Redmi 13C is the common one — so those panels are cheaper to replace.
AMOLED panels are also more fragile during install, so labour is a touch higher.
On flagships (Xiaomi 14 / 15) the glass, AMOLED, and touch layer are bonded into one assembly — you can't just swap the glass.

Can you replace just the glass?

On budget Redmi models sometimes yes, but on the Note Pro, Poco, and Xiaomi flagship tiers the glass and AMOLED are fused. 'Glass-only' repairs using LOCA glue and UV curing look cheaper up front, but we've seen too many come back with dead touch zones or discolouration. We fit the full display assembly so the touch, brightness, and fingerprint sensor all behave.

How long does it take?

1-2 hours for most models. We test touch response, brightness, and the under-display fingerprint sensor before you leave. Booking ahead means we'll have the correct panel ready for your exact Redmi, Poco, or Xiaomi model — budget parts move fast but flagship AMOLEDs can need ordering in.
